A grand total of S$12,000 was raised for the students of
Grace Orchard School when we held Singapore's first
miniature golf charity tournament on 28 September 2008.
'Mini Putts, Big Hearts' was held at LilliPutt, and the
participation of over 50 adults and children raised S$10,000.
A special auction for a December Asian cruise on our
Legend of the Seas brought another S$2,000. All the
proceeds will go to Grace Orchard School's special education and support services for autistic and intellectually disabled children.
Mr Rama Rebbapragada, our Managing Director, said,
"We want to give small charity institutions such as Grace Orchard School a helping hand as they need greater help in fund-raising. We would like to thank
all those who supported this event generously."
The winning golf team walked away with a prize of a
three-night cruise to Malaysia for two worth over S$1,000.
The best adult and child golfers were also rewarded with
prizes like complimentary ferry terminal VIP services and
Nike Precision Golf Ball sets.
