Waking up to the gentle lull of the seas, we ordered room service and had a lovely breakfast.
All you need to do is to fill up the Breakfast Menu form, available in your room, and leave it on the outside of your door before 3am.
If you prefer to have more variety from a buffet spread, the Windjammer Café is open from 6am onwards for early docking days such as these. The Romeo and Juliet Restaurant, which provides an a la carte menu, is also open from 7 to 9am daily.
We met a couple after breakfast – Simon and Debbie from Bristol, United Kingdom, whom we shared a cab with from Port Kelang (where Legend of the Seas had docked) to the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Then we did what girls do best - We shopped up a storm, and headed back to the ship in the afternoon.
After freshening up, it was time for our first formal dinner night at the Romeo and Juliet restaurant. All guests are assigned a regular table and get to choose either a 6 p.m. or 8.30 p.m. dining slot. You can even sign up for My Time dining to dine at any time you wish. Our two waiters, Dindo and Hongtang, were the most friendly and professional, making for a consummate dining experience.
The food was absolutely divine and with a changing menu every night, dinner was a daily surprise that we looked forward to each evening.
Mouthwatering desserts were a daily affair: Here, we indulge in a yummy raspberry and vanilla ice cream dessert paired with some wine to cap off a superb dinner.
A post-dinner stroll on the top deck to enjoy the lovely sea breeze.
Thanks to the most meticulous and hardworking housekeeping staff, we always found little surprises like this upon returning to our rooms every night.
