PORTS OF CALL - Pacific Northwest
Nanaimo, British Columbia
Centrally located near other Vancouver Island ports, Nanaimo, British Columbia, has recently undergone a renaissance. The waterfront has been renovated into a charming boardwalk area complete with floating restaurants and renamed the Pioneer Waterfront Plaza. On Fridays, you can sample local fare at as a farmer's market takes over the Plaza. Don't Miss

With three distinct shopping areas, Nanaimo is somewhat of a local retail mecca. All within walking distance of the city center, the Waterfront, the Old City Quarter and the Arts District each feature a combination of marine supplies, local art, fashion and gifts to satisfy your souvenir cravings.
Local Flavours
Nanaimo offers a full range of West Coast cuisine, often using ethnic ingredients introduced throughout the history of this unique city. For a great view to complement your meal, try one of the floating restaurants on Pioneer Waterfront Plaza.
