Puerto Madryn, Argentina

This pretty seaside town in the Patagonian province of Chubut is your gateway to an exotic and exciting Eden of wonder. From here you can venture to the Península Valdés, the world-famous wildlife sanctuary, and Punta Tombo, home to the world's biggest colony of Magellanic penguins. Madryn also has its own set of attractions, from its beaches to its historic sites steeped in Welsh tradition.

The Argentine peso is the official currency. Foreign currencies can be exchanged in banks and authorized bureaus. Several shops do accept U.S. dollars and Euros. American Express, VISA, Diners Club and Master Card are also widely accepted. Please note there may be difficulty in exchanging traveler's checks.
