LEGEND OF THE SEAS RETURNS TO SINGAPORE FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR
WITH NEW ITINERARIES AND DESTINATIONS
AND LOWER AGE POLICY FOR THE SEASON

Legend of the Seas

SINGAPORE, November 22, 2010 – Royal Caribbean International’s cruise ship Legend of the Seas has returned to Singapore for the third consecutive year.  For this season, the company is featuring 26 sailings in Southeast Asia, a variety of new itineraries and destinations such as Malacca, Bali, Semarang and Lombok, as well as a reduction in the minimum age to 18 years old for guests who are unaccompanied by adults.

New Itineraries and Destinations
The fully-booked ship arrived this morning from a 13-night journey from Hong Kong with over 1,700 international guests.  Starting from today, Legend of the Seas will be offering her popular three to five-night Southeast Asian cruises to Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Phuket.  There will also be a six-night cruise on January 2, 2011 to Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur which features an overnight stay in Phuket for the first time.

Legend of the Seas is also rolling out new itineraries from Singapore in early 2011 as follows:

  • 2 Night Weekend Cruise in January to Malacca, ideal for a short getaway (January 8)
  • 8 Night Indonesia Cruise in February to Bali for an overnight, Semarang and Lombok, for an in-depth exploration of Indonesia (February 18)
  • 7 Night Bali & Semarang Cruise in February to Bali for an overnight and Semarang (February 26)

New Minimum Age Policy
Currently on all Royal Caribbean International sailings, the minimum age for any guest unaccompanied by an adult[1] in the same stateroom is 21 years old.  For this Singapore season till March 2011 on Legend of the Seas, the company is reducing this minimum age to 18 years old.  This will apply to guests of any nationality.  An exception for the minimum age is children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms.

Also for this Singapore season, the minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages is lowered from 21 to 18 years old.

A destination in itself

Onboard the 2,074-guest Legend of the Seas, vacationers can look forward to an ocean of entertainment and relaxation choices, such as the brand’s signature 9m rock-climbing wall and miniature golf course.  In addition, one can savour a wide variety of mouth-watering international cuisine whilst enjoying the sea view from the two-tier glass-walled Romeo and Juliet Dining Room, watch theatre shows, enjoy singing karaoke in the KTV room and duty-free shopping or relax in the Solarium indoor pool.  As for the younger guests, they will be entertained by the Adventure Ocean activities for multiple age groups.  Most of all, virtually everything is included in the price.
